Do you or your CF child eat a lot of salt?
Some CF Salt Facts:
- CF is a genetic disease that affects the body's epithelial cells, which are found in many places, including the sweat glands, the lungs, and the pancreas. An error in these cells causes problems with the balance of salt and water in the body.
- People With CF lose a lot of salt in their sweat, especially during hot weather and when they exercise. A good way to replace this salt is by adding salt to food and eating salty snacks.

Mackenzie doesn't eat much and I've always been surprised by this. Sometimes she even complains that things are too salty.
Oh,she is just like her PaPa with the salt.those look like my chicken fingers....Luvs
I love it! I use that much salt, but I don't have CF.....just a carrier. Any blood test results always show that my sodium is low, therefore I feel like it is okay to indulge! My daughter is too young to use salt (10 months), but I am sure she will use a lot just because she will have learned it from me!

Reilly loves salt, too. And pepper. But I have to admit, I use a lot, too. :o)
What a great post! It's hard for me to get Samantha to eat the 2 things she needs: fat and salt! this is my girl who picks the apple dippers over the french fries at McDs. I was able to get her to eat a bunch of really salted popcorn today, but I've had to work really hard to get there! Hopefully, this was part of getting older and not just a fluke!
Josh loves salt so much it's nasty. I use to hate it but since we have been together for 3 years and his kisses are super salty I have grown to just love salt on everything.
